Doug Hajek,
President (Sioux
Falls) Doug Hajek started his banking career in 1972 when he joined National Bank of South Dakota (now US Bank) in Rapid City, South Dakota. In 1977, Doug transferred to Minneapolis to manage First Bank System’s affiliate loan participation pool. In 1979, he moved to Sioux Falls to serve as Vice President and manager of the Mortgage Banking Division of Western Bank in Sioux Falls, where he also served on the bank’s loan, asset-liability management, and investment committees. In 1982, after 10 years in banking, Doug started law school at the University of South Dakota, from which he received his J.D. in 1985. From 1985 to 1998, Doug practiced law with Boyce, Murphy, McDowell & Greenfield, L.L.P., in Sioux Falls where his practice centered on banking, finance and estate planning. In 1998, Doug left the practice of law to start First American Bank & Trust in Sioux Falls. He returned to law practice in 2000 when he joined Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith L.L.P. where his practice is concentrated in corporate and financial institution law. |
