Albert Schmidt is the Planning and Zoning Administrator for the City of Harrisburg.  As the Planning and Zoning Administrator for one of South Dakota's fastest growing cities, he developed the City's Building Services, Planning, Zoning, and Geographic Information Systems departments.  Albert also proposes yearly budgets for the departments, maintains and regulates floodways and floodplains with the City, and develops project ideas to improve the departments.

Albert earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota in Economics and Political Science.  Albert is an active member of the South Dakota Planners Association and the American Planning Association.
