Dakota BUSINESS
Finance is governed by a 27-member board consisting
of representatives from lending institutions,
community organizations, private businesses and
governmental officials. The membership meets
at least annually for the Dakota
BUSINESS Finance Annual Meeting. The Membership is responsible for
appointing new Members as well as appointing Members
to serve on the Board of Directors. The Membership also
assists Dakota BUSINESS Finance in marketing its SBA
504 program. |

Dakota BUSINESS Finance annually presents its
“Lender of the Year” award to the lender that
participates in the highest number of SBA 504 loans
through Dakota BUSINESS Finance. In 2009, Dakota
BUSINESS Finance recognized
MetaBank
with this award. Representing
MetaBank in accepting the award were
David Eiesland, Karen Waller, Tim
Rustand, and Kathy Thorson. The
award was presented by Craig
Hagen, Dakota BUSINESS
Finance President and Lynne
Keller Forbes, Dakota BUSINESS Finance Executive
Director.

Each year, Dakota BUSINESS Finance also presents the
“Friend of Dakota BUSINES Finance” award to the
individual who refers the most loans to Dakota BUSINESS
Finance. Lenders and Dakota BUSINESS Finance Members
are not eligible for this recognition. In 2009, Dakota
BUSINESS Finance presented Dan
Hindbjorgan from the
Sioux Falls Development Foundation with this award. |

its annual meeting, Dakota BUSINESS Finance
was presented with the SBA Asset Builder
Award for achieving the highest loan volume
for SBA 504 loans in South Dakota in FY2009.
